As a lawyer, I used to do Medicare/Medicaid Fraud Cases, including the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS). This is referred to as “Whistleblower” and/or “Qui Tam” Litigation. Essentially, the law firm would take on whistleblower clients making claims that their employer (Hospital, Pharmacy, PBM, Doctor, Insurance Company, etc.) was defrauding Medicare and/or Medicaid - cases ranging from double/triple billing, billing for procedures not being done, Pharmacists taking kickbacks to only stock a particular brand of drug or direct bribes for continued business.

These cases ranged anywhere from $5 million in fraud to $500 million in fraud.

The law firm would build the case and then offer the case to a Federal and/or State Prosecutor to allow the Government to intervene in the lawsuit since it was ultimately clawing back taxpayer money to return to the Treasury (less a 10-30% cut for the Whistleblower - from which the contingency legal fee is taken).

The Government would intervene on surprisingly few of these cases. If you want some solid leads on who is committing fraud and where it’s being committed - I’d suggest going around to the private law firms that specialize in these Qui Tam/Whistleblower lawsuits and asking them for the case files.

The cases cost millions of dollars to litigate, so unless the government intervenes, they rarely go forward and even fewer reach a verdict where money is clawed back. You see the same companies names listed as the Defendant over and over again.

You’ll get a lot of leads on Medicare/Medicaid fraud by picking through the cases that don’t move forward or even by looking deeper into the companies/practices which resulted in clawed back funds.

The original @BlackSabbath – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward – will play for the first time in 20 years. The band will take to the stage to headline BACK TO THE BEGINNING on July 5th at Villa Park.

The all-star event will celebrate the true creators of heavy metal and will see @OzzyOsbourne play his own short set before joining with Black Sabbath for his final bow.

“It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning….time for me to give back to the place where I was born,” Ozzy Osbourne said. “How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.”

Formed in Birmingham in 1968 and going on to become one of most successful metal bands of all time, Black Sabbath have sold over 75 million albums worldwide across their legendary career. Setting the blueprint for the many routes heavy metal took, Black Sabbath’s influence and importance is as vital today as it was in the early 1970s.

Music Director @tmorello said: “This will be the greatest heavy metal show ever.”

BACK TO THE BEGINNING will feature sets from @Metallica, @Slayer, @Pantera, @GojiraMusic, @Halestorm, @AliceInChains, @LambOfGod, @Anthrax and @MastodonMusic

The all-day event will also feature a supergroup of musicians. Artists announced so far include @BillyCorgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), @DavidMDraiman (Disturbed), @DuffMcKagan & @Slash (Guns ‘n Roses), Frank Bello (Anthrax), @FredDurst (Limp Bizkit), Jake E Lee, @JDavisOfficial (Korn), KK Downing, Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Mike Bordin (Faith No More), Rudy Sarzo, @SammyHagar, @ScottIanthrax (Anthrax), Sleep Token ii (Sleep Token), Papa V Perpetua (Ghost), @TomMorello (Rage Against The Machine), @WolfVanHalen and @ZakkWyldeBLS.

More names will be announced shortly.

Tickets go on sale at 10am GMT on Friday 14th February 2025 at https://t.co/FmNL9uFzN5.

All profits will go to the following charities: CureParkinson’s, Birmingham Childrens Hospital and Acorn Childrens Hospice, a Children’s Hospice supported by Aston Villa.
