@ericafarrandMD@UCSF Dean did not just push you to be your best, he inspired you by example and because he BELIEVED in you. He was passionate about medicine, science and FAMILY. Cannot overstate his influence on our profession as his trainees and their trainees in turn have gone on to become leaders
@LekshmiMD @UCSFPCCMFellows @UCSFDOM Courtney was the only woman faculty person at SFGH in the early days of the LBC. There were 6 women fellows:me, Alice Boylan, Lynn Schnapp, Lisa Chen, Ann Weinacker, Kim Kerr. She was and continues to be an inspiration. Proud to be part of this pioneering group of women. #ATS2022

@LekshmiMD What I love is the way he perfectly captures not just the language but the unique manner in which each specialty speaks, their cadences, their facial expressions, even body language. Medicine requiress so much more than absorbing knowledge, it's an intense socialization process.
@NidaQadirMD Yes! As an outpatient pulmonologist, I see the success stories! Patients who not only survive but are happy like the gentleman recovering from prolonged tracheostomy whom I saw last week, eagerly anticipating going back to work in a few days #covid19#icu#lifeaftercovid
