🔥🔥🔥Excited to share our latest review in AJRCCM delving into intricate genetic & epigenetic frameworks shaping #pulmonaryfibrosis & unraveling its complexities.
Grateful for collaboration with @JKropski@AnnaPodolanczuk@jskim8223, & all contributors.

Deeply honored to contribute to the August 15 issue of The Blue Journal.
My heartfelt thanks to the incredible team who enabled this.
Together we continue to push the boundaries of knowledge in inflammation, fibrosis, genetics, & machine learning.
Onward!

The first snRNASeq & spatial transcriptomic analysis of bronchoscopic cryobiopsies from patients with Early IPF & preserved pulmonary functions is out on @biorxivpreprint and message is Early IPF is IPF‼️

Genetic heterogeneity in IPF has been a major gap. In our new paper, we define genetic endotypes of IPF, uncover subtype-specific risk, improve disease prediction, and identify telomere-associated polygenic risk as a key, previously unrecognized driver.

Overheard at #ECPPILD2025 today in Orlando: ""The prevalence of ILD is increasing and may be even higher than estimated because of failure to recognize the disease in clinical practice. We have the tools to better manage ILD, but recognition is key!" - @drdayjee Deji Adegunsoye, MD @PFWarrior@MartinezFerMD @joycecylee @scott_matson@AnnaPodolanczuk@OneVoiceILD@Pfforg #MedEd #MedTwitter #ILD
Dr Ayodeji Adegunsoye – statement Co-Chair – gives a brief overview on the new Update of the International Multidisciplinary Classification of the Interstitial Pneumonias: An ERS/ATS Statement 📽️ 📖

My book, An Intuitive Primer on Effective Functional Genomics Study Design, is published! I’d really appreciate it if you could help spread the word, and I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback. It’s available on Amazon: https://t.co/VKR3l4RTSA
Really cool! Our ‘Single-Cell Analysis Reveals Novel Immune Perturbations in Fibrotic Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis’ is on cover of the American Journal of Respiratory & Critical Care Medicine. Kudos to soon to be #DoubleDoc Amy Zhao & crew!!

Truly honored to be the keynote speaker at this incredible event!
I loved every moment in Toronto, meeting such inspiring minds and learning about the amazing work you all are doing in pulmonary fibrosis.
Thank you for the warm welcome and the inspiration!🙏🏽🇨🇦
@jolenehfisher, @twhcmr and I were honored to have @drdayjee at our @UofTRespirology#ILD educational day. He gave a fantastic talk on genetics of ILD and biomarkers: past, present and future. Thanks @drdayjee for coming along the way to Toronto to enhance our event! 🙏🙏🙏
Still basking in fun times & learnings from Athens🇬🇷 this week at #ICLAF2024:
• multiomics of pulmonary fibrosis 🫁
• novel pathophysiologic findings 🧬
• potential therapeutic targets 💊
• …and of course, insights into Greek mythology🏛️

Athens: where medicine, democracy, philosophy, and the Olympics were born!
This ancient city isn’t just a historical wonder—it’s a feast for the eyes, overflowing with culture, charm, and jaw-dropping views.
Dr. Marilyn Glassberg delivers an outstanding talk on sex differences in pulmonary fibrosis.
• need early disease models
• being female appears to be protective.
• Nitrogen mustard model is quite similar to Bleo
• Estrogen did not seem to stimulate fibrosis

Delighted to share our new study led by @AitanaAG90 evaluating the association of rare variants in telomere and non-telomere monogenic adult-onset Pulmonary Fibrosis genes and IPF patient survival where we also intersected their effects with #PRS of IPF. https://t.co/UbYc8SO8zT
