Special thanks for my great facilitators @iLearnNow @AlohaSargent @JGlapaGrossklag and Arnita Porter and mentor @ProfHarmon from @ONEforTraining and to @MiraCosta for supporting my sabbatical project
@cherylachapman This is the only way I was able to share the captioned video. I embedded the original YouTube video and then put a link to the captioned Amara video. Couldn't figure out the embed trick for Amara in Canvas.
@cherylachapman Thanks so much for the response. I tried embedding it into a Canvas page or announcement and I can't get it to work. This is the video I captioned: https://t.co/G3Fd51SYct Can I just share this link and the original YouTube link with students-in case someone needs captions? Thx!
@brocansky@ONEforTraining Hi Michelle,
I did not. I remember seeing the option to watch captioned videos with Amara in many of my @ONEforTraining courses, but I am puzzled as to how to do it in my own Canvas course.
Help! I captioned a YouTube video (not mine) on Amara. How do I share it in a Canvas announcement? I don't see an option for a link. I do see an option for embedding but it's not working. Thank you! @brocansky@ONEforTraining
Ok, so I have gotten two different answers about this, can someone clarify? Is this Canva-created Canvas page header a decorative image (and therefore doesn't need alt text) or NOT decorative and therefore should have alt text?
@MrCoachK15 @Flipgrid It is. I tried going into Student View or logging in with my sample Canvas student account. I have no problems using it as an instructor but can't test it as a student without being prompted for a an email log in. Thanks for all your help!
@MrCoachK15 @Flipgrid Thanks. Did you try recording a video while in Student View? I have tried it multiple times and I am always prompted to enter an email. Also, I read that if they record from the @Flipgrid option on the sidebar then it won't show up on SpeedGrader.
@Flipgrid Does this not apply to the Student View? I also tried logging into my course as a Sample Student but I was still prompted to enter an email. How can I test if my assignment is working for students?
