Spend a minute or so with this little dude.
You’ll be better for it.

If eating dogs feels wrong to you, you already understand veganism. 👀
Dog, pig, or any animal – they all want to live. Keep them off your plate. 🌱

"We should give thanks to animals for their fabulous innocence and their gratitude for looking upon us with the gentleness of their worried eyes without ever condemning us."
Christian Bobin
@gregcatarino1 Nothing happy about a dead turkey 🦃 on your plate, it's really just sad 😔 there's so much to be thankful for but certainly not death. Another tradition that's cruel to animals. Can you try so many other recipes other than death to be thankful over?

Álfablót was an Old Norse tradition that had many similarities with Samhain, the ancient Celtic festival that is often referred to as the origin of Halloween.
The word means "sacrifice to the elves", and the ritual took place in autumn, most likely in October. It was a nocturnal festival that honoured the spirits of the dead and marked the beginning of winter.
In Norse mythology, the elves were associated with fertility and death, and it was believed that dead ancestors could move over into the world of the elves. Because of this close connection between the elves and death, it has been argued that the álfablót was concerned with ancestor veneration and the life force of the family.
Unfortunately not much is known about the actual ritual, because it took place in private at the homesteads and was shrouded in secrecy.

I’ve watched the slaughterhouse videos non-vegans refuse to.
The commodification, exploitation, enslavement, & direct killing of innocent & defenseless animals - for “food” we technically don’t even need to eat -
is humanity’s most disgraceful act.
In 1927, scientists introduced the “lethal dose” test—designed to kill half of test animals. Today, various versions of lethal dose tests are still used in chemical and pesticide testing, causing immense suffering. Science has evolved. Regulations should too.
