I've noticed the smartest people I know are wrong constantly but they're wrong in interesting ways, like they're beta-testing reality and most builds crash but occasionally one doesn't and suddenly that's just how the world works now and nobody remembers it was ever different.
As you become an adult, you realize that things around you weren't just always there; people made them happen. But only recently have I started to internalize how much tenacity *everything* requires. That hotel, that park, that railway. The world is a museum of passion projects.
Some people can read War and Peace and come away thinking it's a simple adventure story.
Others can read the ingredients on a chewing gum wrapper and unlock the secrets of the universe.
Make the unpopular decisions. Choose the unpopular people. Everytime.
We don't need more cool, always right, perfect people. We need real human beings. Weird ones.
