no, viktor couldn't snap out of it and fight the hexcore after episode 5 of season 1. he just wasn't able to.

the times he had some control he got punished by the hexcore and then he begged jayce to destroy it.

🧵 If there's one thing I gotta dislike (about a part of the Jayvik fandom) is the lack of consent there is in some of the fanfics/fanarts. It's understandable for people to cope with their own stuff through non-con writing, but it has gotten a bit too much, I feel like.
