✅Field of Study Requirements: Your program must fall under any of this 5 broad categories to be eligible for PGWP.
- Agriculture & Agri-food
- Healthcare
- STEM
- Trade
- Transport

✅To be eligible for PGWP, you need to meet either the English language or French language eligibility requirement which is:
- CLB 7 for Bachelors, Masters, PhD and other University programs.
- CLB 5 for College graduates.

✅If you apply before November 1, 2024, you only need to meet the current eligibility criteria.

New Requirements After November 1, 2024:
- If you applied for your study permit before November 1, 2024, and apply for a PGWP after, the new rules will apply.
- Study permits submitted on or after November 1, 2024 must meet additional requirements, including language proficiency.

Language Proficiency:
- Tests accepted: IELTS (General), CELPIP (General), PTE (Code Option)
- Results must be less than 2 years old at the time of application.

Those that are in canada or those that submitted their study permit before November 1st 2024 won’t be affected with field of study requirement meaning they can still get their PGWP

Prepare early and ensure you meet the new requirements!
