Definitely weird and potentially funny nerd, mostly posting about software, weird thoughts and some art.
Also posting some projects i do around here sometimes
Second slightly more illegal weekend idea:
(I won't do it.. but maybe you will)
Desolder the mff2 flock ESIM onto one of those nanosim adapter boards (pretty easy it's like a weird wson-8) and use it for free mobile data (there's also non soldered adapters)
As you become an adult, you realize that things around you weren't just always there; people made them happen. But only recently have I started to internalize how much tenacity *everything* requires. That hotel, that park, that railway. The world is a museum of passion projects.
Ironed out the last performance issues with my full 2.5m line codebase explorer. 120hz awesomeness. Can only upload 60fps video tho. Much nicer uncompressed
THE FLY BRAIN ESCAPED THE COMPUTER. I PUT IT INSIDE A PHYSICAL ROBOT.
Scientists released a reconstructed map containing 166,700 neurons from a fruit fly.
I connected it to a Strandbeest.
The panel in the top-right shows the simulated brain running. Its neural activity is translated into motor commands that move the mechanical legs below.
The catch: this is a computational model built from biological wiring. I engineered the interface connecting its outputs to the robot.
First, the fly brain entered DOOM.
Then it played Chrome Dino.
Now it has a physical body.
166,700 neurons.
25 million connections.
One nervous system walking through the real world.
