It’s ironic that I’m angry about Positive Leadership. Here’s why…
1. People mistakingly think positive leadership is about rah rah and motivation but it’s really about optimism, grit, and building great relationships to help your team overcome challenges and succeed.
Good teachers know their lesson plans. Great teachers know their students.
Good coaches know X's and O's. Great coaches know their players.
Good leaders know their vision. Great leaders know their team.
Your people make the difference. They matter. Remind them that you care.
Abraham Lincoln once asked an audience how many legs a dog has if you count the tail as a leg. When they answered “five,” Lincoln told them that the answer was four. The fact that you called the tail a leg did not make it a leg.
