Josi Shelley with There & Back Again Sleddogs arrived around 11 pm last night for their mandatory checkpoint, and it was super cool to see her riding in with all the dogs excited (but tired after such a long day) to be pulling the sled!

I have been in Beaver for the last five days, and since we have launched all of the sounding rockets, my job here is done. I am heading home to Fairbanks today in the afternoon, and I am excited to take a hot shower and have my own bed to sleep in…

However, I must say that my time in Beaver has been great. The hospitality of folks like Judith and Paul has been amazing. Since we have installed an observatory up here in Beaver, there's a possibility that I may return for future sounding rocket missions.

Update on the ongoing solar storm: still some potential for mid-latitude aurora as the Bz comes down and “unlocks” more energy input from the By component.

Not expecting any major low-latitude displays, but sporadic substorms and proton aurora blobs combined with diffuse red aurora could create some interesting situations especially if you are north of the 45th parallel.

So, your doctor ordered a test or treatment and your insurance company denied it. That is a typical cost saving method.

OK, here is what you do:

1. Call the insurance company and tell them you want to speak with the "HIPAA Compliance/Privacy Officer"
(By federal law, they have to have one)

2. Then ask them for the NAMES as well as
CREDENTIALS of every person accessing your record to make that decision of denial.

By law you have a right to that information.

3. They will almost always reverse the decision very shortly rather than admit that the committee is made of low paid HS graduates, looking at "criteria words." making the medical decision to deny your care.
Even in the rare case it is made by medical personnel, it is unlikely that it is made by a board certified doctor in that specialty and they DO NOT WANT YOU TO KNOW THIS!!

4. Any refusal should be reported to the US Office of Civil
