.@JamesTalarico: There's been a lot of talk in this race about what it means to be a real man.
Recently on the campaign trail I told the story of my adoptive dad, Mark Talarico. Every Saturday morning, he would mow our lawn, and then without anyone asking him to, he would go next door and mow our neighbor's lawn because she was a widow. My dad never talked about it — he just did it, because that's what a man does.
A man takes responsibility, upholds his commitments to his family and his neighbors, and does what's right, even when no one is watching.
Here's what real men don't do. They don't lie and cheat their way through life, sell their soul to the highest bidder, or steal from other people in order to enrich themselves. Real men serve others. Weak men serve themselves.
I welcome this debate about what it means to be a man, and I don't think Ken Paxton or Ted Cruz are in a position to tell anybody what a real man is.
I’m proud to have been a longtime mutual follower of @jamestalarico
Let me say I am NOT a religious man and I have little time for organized religion. I was born a Roman Catholic, but never found refuge in the Catholic faith.
Having said that, when I first heard James speak, he spoke immediately to my life values and I instinctively connected with his ‘people first’ political values.
He has remained consistent in his beliefs because they represent who he is and that’s why I know he’s resonating with everyday Texans. He knows how to articulate the argument for his candidacy because he speaks from his heart and that is a rare thing in politics today.
Washington will be better for having his presence in the US Senate.

PLOT: The first three quarters of the movie were crazy insane—had me on the edge of my seat. Truly fuckin disturbing and I was uneasy every freaking second, but there are definitely some plot holes that need to be discussed.
CINEMATOGRAPHY: Shot perfectly. The strongest part of the movie was the color grading and the visuals. It gave those creepy early 90s vibes.
SOUND: Nailed it out of the park here. So many times the removal of sound or the low, subtle bass tones would get your heart racing because you had no idea what was coming next.
MY TAKE: The movie had us in the first half—it was really, really strong. Loved the creativity and its ability to have me scared and nervous af, BUT I cannot ignore the ending. Too many questions went unanswered. Still, for a 20-year-old director’s first movie ever?? Crazy shit.
FINAL SCORE: 8.2/10
🚨BREAKING: MAGA is losing their minds over this AI video showing a construction crew forcibly removing Trump’s name from the outside of the Kennedy Center.
Share it everywhere just to annoy them. This will soon be a reality.
Trump betrayed a decent, honorable man who had a 99.2 percent record of supporting him in the U.S. Senate. He destroyed the career of U.S. Senator Cornyn to elevate a dishonest, impeached and corrupt crook named Ken Paxton. (Google him. This guy is terrible.) When the President of the United States happily backs a bad man and throws a good man overboard, it sends a horrible message to the next generation. This president continues to do moral and ethical damage to the nation that will be hard to undo. Not surprised. But still disappointed in where GOP voters are.
I want to thank Senator John Cornyn for his years representing our state.
We don’t agree on everything, but we both still believe in public service.
To Senator Cornyn’s supporters: you have a place in our campaign.
Q: Ken Paxton said that requiring the display of the Ten Commandments in public classrooms is a ‘major victory for Texas and our moral values.’ What’s your response to Ken Paxton?
@JamesTalarico: I’m not sure if Ken Paxton is in a place to lecture us on moral values. My faith teaches me to love my neighbor as myself — not just my neighbors who look like me, vote like me, or pray like me.
I don’t want anyone forcing their religion down my throat, and I certainly don’t want the government forcing a religion down my throat.
I’m a Christian, but I know that the most dangerous form of government is theocracy. Because the only thing worse than a tyrant is a tyrant who thinks they’re on a mission from God.
.@JamesTalarico: It doesn’t matter who wins the Republican runoff, because we already know who we’re running against.
We’re running against the billionaire megadonors who have taken over our state and our country, and their corrupt political system.
We are building a movement here in Texas across all these divides to take power back from those at the very top who have corrupted our politics.
And I think we’re gonna see the fruits of that movement in November.
WATCH: In a blistering rebuttal to Trump’s “insulting Jesus” claim, James Talarico responds, “You know what insults Jesus? Bombing schoolchildren… covering up the Epstein files.”
