So I was locked out of my account for a while but I’m back!
I’ve been struggling with finding things to post frankly because as a senior, the season was cut short. Speech and Debate have been activities that have brought me so much joy and I have made several wonderful friends.

Inside jokes, and everything will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you to those who have been wonderful friends to me, and thank you to my coach for being a badass. I’ll still post, and I won’t completely shut down the idea of continuing my career in college

Things that have happened to my team this season
1) A competitor told my teammate her dress was too short
2) A judge didn’t like my piece because I said that people have a stigma against those with anxiety
3) A judge told one of my teammates suicide isn’t a real issue

This most recent weekend I would have broke if not for the woman who was annoyed when I said there is a stigma against mental illness. Judge me on my skill as an actress, not your ignorance. I knew I put myself in a vulnerable position with this piece, but it sucks

but a ballot said,” actually that’s grief,” when I had a scene where I couldn’t breathe and had a panic attack. This is real. This is what my experience is. That finals ballot gave me the six. I would take a six if the decision was based on other factors, not their own bias

I have not cried about any other senior thing except my last musical and debate ending. After the last round of state I cried and tried to talk to my friends with a tear sliding down my face ignoring the fact that I was crying because I’d be more sad
