Imagine not being able to do tiny things without feeling sick. Dancing to music? Now you're sleepy. Reaching for something on a high shelf? Now you're dizzy. Went to get groceries? Now you're achy. Sent an email? Now you're exhausted. That's what being chronically ill is like.

If you think unhoused folks should only get housing if they prove they "deserve" it first, you're part of the problem. Folks shouldn't have to prove they’re somehow “deserving” of basic human necessities.
If you’re going from Nondisabled to disabled please know that a majority of what you know about disability is a lie meant to serve your nondisabled self.
It will not serve you now.
I’m going to say it: I like paying taxes in exchange for a properly managed health care and education system and other government services. I don’t want money back, I want ambulances to come on time.
If Black and brown people are telling you something is racist and your response is you haven’t seen anything racist, you should pause and reflect on why you’re unable to detect racism and why racism is so normalized to you (in addition to denying our lived experiences)
i am once again asking why the fuck we take taxes from 15-17 year olds paychecks when they aren’t allowed to vote bc to me that sounds a little bit like taxation without representation
