🚨 EXCLUSIVE 🚨

Hopefully, the first of many player interviews! Great to have a chat with possibly Bengal's brightest cricketing prospect at the moment. Really humble and down to earth.

Do read, people!

@CricketOnScreen The fact that the Kingsmen academy are also part of Pakistan's first-class competition is also surprising. It's refreshingly new

[Rajarshi Das @angrywktkeeper7]

@GemsOfCricket Difference of half an ounce if i'm not mistaken

[Rajarshi Das @angrywktkeeper7]

@CricketOnScreen The 97 against GL in 2017 kind of was on similar lines. Made Indians take note of him

[Rajarshi Das @angrywktkeeper7]

@RandomCricketP1 Who do you think sits at the top of the list among the lot in modern day cricket? In the 2020s, that is

[Rajarshi Das @angrywktkeeper7]

@kaushiktweetz Surprisingly, yes

[Rajarshi Das @angrywktkeeper7]

I miss light weighted Rishabh Pant the cricketer.

Could have been a much better wicket keeper had he shed the lower body weight right then. Not sure whether his batting would have remained the same, though, might not have turned into the maverick that he is

[a @UnfilteredMe70]

Ravindra jadeja is our best fielder because pant chose wicket keeping for himself.

[Rajarshi Das @angrywktkeeper7]

@kaushiktweetz Maybe a quicker Rishabh Pant could have been an expert in nicking ones and twos in the middle overs instead of belting everything? His batting approach might have been a lot more different. Could have had an even better career across formats methinks

@dweplea @beentumbling ARTICLE IDEA GAINED

[Rajarshi Das @angrywktkeeper7]

“Aesa konsa bowler hai jisko abhitak chuckke nhi paraa?”

The accent makes it even more hilarious. Makes me crack up every time😭😭😭😭

[Rajarshi Das @angrywktkeeper7]

@RandomCricketP1 @shreevats1 Feels nice to see someone upgrading themselves from this run of the mill lot in Bengal cricket.

I actually want him to stay away from anything to do with Bengal and have him more on podcasts with foreign cricketers.

Looks and feels refreshing. Can get lot more insights.

[Rajarshi Das @angrywktkeeper7]

@_cricketsparsh The seaming-in hard length delivery is one I can think of, but he seems to be getting good at keeping them out too now

[Rajarshi Das @angrywktkeeper7]

@BishOnTheRockx Had he squatted before the ball was bowled, anticipated the line of the ball early, there would have been no need to pull this off.

Might sound harsh but this is more like making a tough take look ten times tougher.

This is modern day keeping, unfortunately. All hands no feet.

[Rajarshi Das @angrywktkeeper7]

@BishOnTheRockx Yup,I got it right. The last-minute squat technique. Ben Foakes is a master at it, he does it best.

Advantage is it keeps your head at a good position to collect uneven bounce or sharp turn. Disadvantage is it makes you fatally late for anything down leg.

Had it not been for a bad shot in the first innings, Smaran might have registered hundreds in both innings of the Irani Cup.

His front foot movement looks so much different in red ball cricket. Twice in this game, he has shown that he can bat with the tail.

Career-making knock.

[Rajarshi Das @angrywktkeeper7]

Just the kind of career in cricket media that I had envisioned for myself.

Alas.... hasn't been going the way I wanted. Got to fight before father time swoops in....

Raunak Kapoor's rise to doing comms for India matches under BCCI is under-emphasized. Started on Cricinfo, then ICC U19, India tour games in Windies, WPL, few other ICC events. Now BCCI games in India. Don't recall a non-cricketer being this successful after Harsha. @RaunakRK
