All of the “DSA candidates” who are disavowing the platform and canceling their membership aren’t doing so bc the platform says “timeliness is white supremacy.” They’re doing it bc the platform backs defunding the police, senate abolition, and defunding the pentagon, and you don’t get to believe in those things AND be a democrat.

In fairness, Krystal also used the Adam Smith interview to moot the value/strategy of the DSA. But I agree that, in both instances, it was a missed opportunity to highlight the contrast between candidates in an important race which DSA, notably, has not weighed in on.

Put another way: Why is discussing the DSA more important than discussing the stakes of a race between America's most successful socialist elected official and a Zionist warmonger?
