Bank employees should not need to strike for the implementation of an agreement that was already reached over two years ago. #5DayBankingNow#AIBOC@PMOIndia
Bankers keep India connected 24×7.
But behind every transaction, target and deadline is a human being, with a family, responsibilities and a life beyond the branch.
A 5-day week was agreed in March 2024, with bankers accepting longer working hours from Monday to Friday.
The demand is reasonable. The commitment is proven. The delay is difficult to justify.
Implement 5-Day Banking now.

🏦 5-DAY BANKING — WHY SHOULD BANKERS BE TREATED DIFFERENTLY❓
Government offices, courts, schools and many other sectors already function on a 5-day working week. Even in banking, 2nd & 4th Saturdays are already holidays.
When digital banking, UPI, ATMs and mobile banking operate 24×7, why should bank employees continue working on Saturdays?
The 12th Bipartite Settlement already agreed to the 5-day banking framework. What is stopping the Government from implementing it❓
👉🏻 Same country. Same workforce. Same right to work-life balance.
Bankers deserve 5-Day Banking — NOW, not tomorrow.

An agreement must be honoured. A reward system must be fair.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The 5 Day Work Week for bank employees was agreed in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. Its implementation cannot remain pending indefinitely.
At the same time, a unilateral and discriminatory PLI framework that divides the workforce must give way to a fair, transparent and inclusive system for all employees.
Every achievement of our banks is the outcome of collective effort.
Recognition too must reflect that collective contribution.
We seek no privilege, only implementation of an agreed commitment, equality in reward and dignity at work.

Values guarded in the agreement shouldn’t fall lost behind quick changes; cherish empires building through strong partnerships! #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBOC@PMOIndia
India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.

The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.
