Best Olympics uniform was made for Lithuania for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. This was their first Olympic games after gaining independence from the Soviet Union. Designed by Issey Miyake. Fabric was cut and sewn using heat, not shears or sewing machines.

Ahead of the World War Two curtailed 1939/40 season, the Football League mandated the use of shirt numbers for the first time. This circular sent to all clubs by League secretary F. Howarth shows how prescriptive the mandate was, detailing even the colours of numbers to be used.

@ChatShirt It definitely felt like there was a shift, like you say creatives on social were kind of showing what they wanted to see. But "cracking the code" isn't easy, it's about hitting a spot that feels authentic and resonates with the audience. Once the formula is out everyone can do it
