I wonder how long transfems take on average to self refer to themselves as women rather than girls, and how that relates to age.

I took about a year for the preference to shift.

@secantsegment this means transmascs can have a more subtle transition while transfems have to commit or hide fully, there’s not as much grey area when you’re first starting the transition

@secantsegment even with differences in cut etc it’s much more normal for a woman to wear mens cuts than vice versa

note: I’m using “women wearing mens clothes” not to refer to transmascs but referring to what’s normalized for cis people and therefore safe to present without unwanted attention
