This tweet is just 🤌👌 Most of the time the vids that I’m most proud of are the ones that don’t perform as well. They’re not as ‘trendy’, but creatively I enjoy making them the most.

Sometimes it’s sad to see a vid I’m so excited about posting flop, but it is what it is 🤷‍♂️

the algorithm incentive to recreate existing ideas or use templates instead of encouraging new concepts and aesthetics is probably the only thing I dislike about reels/TikTok.

outside of that I think it’s amazing how many people are making stuff now, whether you like the current trends or not. the only “negative” is that there’s so many people making dope shit… that all looks and moves the same. harder to sift through and find the gems that actually inspire, or to breakthrough with something even remotely unique.

the dopamine rush of using a template that pulls numbers VS the risk of trying something different is so disproportionate… but the growth that comes from avoiding the tried, tested, and true is invaluable - even if it doesn’t grow your follower count.
