One of the most insane things to me is how we’ve normalized working 40 hours/5 days a week. Only 8 days off a month is fucking criminal wtf are we doing
the air quality sucks, the food gives you explosive diarrhea, we have no public transport, medical care is unaffordable, they’re tearing down forests to build AI data centers and I still have to clock in for work
You’re allowed to complain about the air quality because it is a health hazard. What you’re not allowed to do is blame Canada as if this is a targeted attack. Everyone should be blaming politicians from both countries who refuse to fund environmental and climate scientists
They said “college is a scam” and at the same time destroyed a ton of programs that helped black and brown kids go to college…which should tell you that college is not a scam.
“Nobody is coming to save you” but your day literally gets better after you consume art made by other people. You hang w friends & you’re no longer suicidal, even if just for a few minutes. They’re lying to you about the significance of community. People are saving you EVERYDAY!
you have no healthcare, can't buy a house, rent is almost unaffordable, food is skyrocketing, no paid leave, no childcare. but your tax dollars will fund a foreign country with healthcare, paid leave, childcare + funding the entire lives unemployed settlers & the orthodox.
No shade but you’ll never catch me chastising or “holding my friends accountable” on the internet. If I have their number and the means to discuss in person I will do that lol
The literacy crisis isn’t that people can’t read the words. It’s that they can’t understand the context, infer meaning, recognise nuance, identify contradictions, or draw logical conclusions from what they’ve read.
Literacy is becoming the new class divide. Not formal education, LITERACY. Many people can't grasp nuance, satire, or irony. Illiteracy limits how you read the world and the room. The gap between people who engage with complex ideas and those who consume clickbait is vast.
