Bertin Tchoffo, Cameroonian entrepreneur and founder of Pafic Sarl, has transformed a passion for cassava into a business empire. Growing the crop on 1,300 hectares and processing 20 tons per day in his factory, he produces a variety of products, including cassava flour, garri, and composite flour. His bakery also transforms the flour into bread and croissants, while his company is expanding its activities by producing cosmetics from palm oil.
Pafic Sarl, which has five distribution points in Yaoundé, plans to open 100 more in the coming years. Coming from a difficult background, Bertin Tchoffo overcame challenges, going through the streets in France before launching his company in 2012 after investing in cassava farming in Cameroon. Today, he employs more than 1,000 people and advocates for the strengthening of local production, particularly in the cassava sector.

@thecableng The continued detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the imbroglio surrounding trial is a thing of concern to our democracy. The Judiciary should adopt a "Practise Direction" for his trial. The political class must also seek political solutions, both platforms can work simultaneously.

And a reminder, that even in a fractured world, we can come together to let peace ring.

#Gaza: Sanctions by the #US Government on 3 prominent Palestinian human rights groups are completely unacceptable and should be withdrawn, says @volker_turk.
For decades, these NGOs have been performing vital human rights work, particularly on accountability for human rights violations. These sanctions will have a chilling effect on civil society in the occupied Palestinian territory & Israel, and potentially globally.
