Thank you Cois Coiribe for highlight our work @Mace_Head and @Samhail_2022. Read on to find out about the research carried out in Carna&NUIG and the @scienceirel Discover #storiesoftheair/#spéirscéalta: Measuring Pollution in the Cleanest Air in Europe https://t.co/N4nbgxD2EI
Getting great ideas for solutions to Atlantic pressures from these budding young scientist, songwriting change makers in Bearna, Co. no Gaillimhe. Very enjoyable afternoon @BaboroGalway @STEMnuigalway @PhysicsNUIG
What a blast with Rang a 4 in Bearna! Thanks to @EPAIreland , @BaboroGalway and @STEMnuigalway for the support -and we were so privileged to work with the great songwriting scientists of Rang a 4 in Bearna! #STEAM

“I recommend curiosity in your research. To me, that’s the most important advice I have to give."
- Syukuro Manabe, awarded the 2021 #NobelPrize in Physics.
Wet wood, “dry”wood, pellet wood, treated wood when burnt are all very bad for our health. A stampede towards cheap solid fuel will cost families and the country dear if the government does not make wood burning stoves prohibitively expensive now. @Dept_ECC @Paulkenny79
Evening air pollution peaks in the city due to solid fuel burning - taken outside my window with @ThePurpleAir low cost sensor using @LaneRegionalAir conversion factor. Unmistakable night time fuel burning fingerprint @Mace_Head @PhysicsNUIG @ANIAR98403229
Syukuro Manabe – awarded the 2021 #NobelPrize in Physics – demonstrated how increased levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere lead to increased temperatures at the surface of the Earth. His work laid the foundation for the development of current climate models.
BREAKING NEWS:
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the 2021 #NobelPrize in Physics to Syukuro Manabe, Klaus Hasselmann and Giorgio Parisi “for groundbreaking contributions to our understanding of complex physical systems.”
Excited about tomorrow's workshop exploring our oceans and climate, through science and song in scoil shéamais naofa Barna with @BaboroGalway& @EPAIreland with the amazing @mairead_hurley and Nic&Noelie of @TheWhileaways https://t.co/vEhUDCmZzr
Join us Sat 2pm,Salthill-we'll discuss the atmosphere as a shared commons, a public realm, home to agents that threaten our health, our ecosystems, and the stability of earth's energy balance https://t.co/ZHd6ii2c5c @Mace_Head
This time-lapse from @cielodecanarias shows the interaction of the #VolcanLaPalma eruptive plume with the Temp inversion at the top of the Saharan Air Layer that forces it to move horizontally at 5300m asl. The volcano emits pulses of different intensity which causes these waves!
