I'm not anti-Spanish just anti-Spain. I just think Spain is unnecessary. People of Spanish descent live all over the world and do just fine without Spain. It should be returned to the Jews nakba-ed out in 1492. It's stolen land. I still have my key even.
@timo_rf@GeorgeMayer And stale docker builds. Put a 10gb limit on resources and tell your AI agent to clean up unused containers after they’re done. Ask me how I know.
Chrissakes, opaque “system data”
At 2:07 AM our shared support inbox sent an automatic reply to a vendor.
“Thanks, we've received your message.”
The vendor's ticketing system automatically replied:
“Thanks, we've received your message.”
Our inbox thanked them for receiving our message.
Their system thanked us for receiving their message.
This continued until 6:18 AM.
11,438 emails.
Security woke me up because they thought we were under attack.
I checked the logs.
No attack.
Just two enterprise systems being extremely polite to each other for four straight hours.
I killed the loop.
The vendor's support ticket now contains 5,700 updates and is too large for their portal to open.
Their account manager called the incident “concerning.”
I disagree.
We just completed the world's first fully automated vendor relationship.
No humans.
No decisions.
Thousands of emails.
Enterprise software has finally achieved its final form.
If you’re an American cosplaying radical chic by wearing a keffiyeh, know this: your attire says to me you’d gladly kill me and celebrate my death, and the death of my family. You’d cheer and dance and hand out candies while pissing on our graves.
Know too that you’d be doing all this willingly at the behest of — and in support for — those who would gladly kill you, celebrate your death, then dance and hand out candies as they piss on your graves.
You are some of the dumbest, most evil people alive.
You are my eternal enemy. And it doesn’t matter if you “read books,” because you’ve read the wrong ones, and now you’re more evil and stupid and captured for having done so.
Spit.
We used to get hurricanes all the time. Big, powerful storms—beautiful storms, but they were a disaster. And you know why? Because they didn’t respect America, they thought we were weak. So I called NOAA and FEMA and said “we’re changing it to the Gulf of America, because these hurricanes have gotta stop pushing us around, it’s not good.” And the weather people said “sir, you can’t just change the name of an ocean, it won’t stop the hurricanes, they’re too strong!” But we changed the name and we got Tim Apple to change the maps and now we don’t have hurricanes anymore.
@soncharm I don't know the full context, but yeah, email announcements work just as well, and keep everyone BCC'd. I presume that's what was in place beforehand?
Maybe they want the convenience of seeing it in a centralized WhatsApp group with admin-only posting?
