Use these when the money is not payment for work or business.

1. When a Family member sends you money, they should write "Gift / Family support"

2. When a Friend pays you back your money, he or she should write:"Refund / Reimbursement"

3. When you move your own money to another account, write:"Personal transfer / Savings"

4. When someone lends you money, he or she should write: "Loan received"

5. If you put your own money into business, write: "Capital contribution"

These do not attract tax when they are true.

Here's how the new Progressive Tax System works (Effective January 2026)

Annual income: ₦800,000 → No tax (0%).

Annual income: ₦2.2m →
Tax = (₦2.2m – ₦800k) × 15% = ₦210,000

Annual income: ₦9m →
₦0 – ₦800k = 0% → ₦0
₦800k – ₦3m (₦2.2m) × 15% = ₦330k

One thing I’ve realized on X is why I no longer post my crypto Ws especially the big buys and crazy PNLs like I used to. People aren’t really happy for you. Not even some of the ones you think are friends.

Many are quietly waiting for something to go wrong, just so they can feel better about themselves. The sooner you understand that and start protecting your energy, the better.

Avoid oversharing, especially on this app. When you’re doing well, hate and envy will follow. It’s inevitable. But as long as you know your path, keep walking it.
