@nowavves1@hbolton yes, I’m not surprised it does • the original post the reply was reacting to implies that the working class should not include jobs that require degrees..this is an example of a job that requires a degree and still doesn’t pay very highly
@NopeSignal I just saw it on Monday w my partner and my sister. only one other guy was in the theatre with us - but we all gotta watch it and we loved it anyways:)
@marsieworm@krelan_grelan agreed! I hated reading 1984 - but still feel like I have to assert that everyone should read it at least once bc I KNOW Orwell knew what he was doing when he made the protagonists really miserable to get into their heads as a reader
@xriskology i am more surprised every day by how lucky I was to narrowly dodge the ability to use ai in my coursework - finished my gen eds right before gpt became mainstream and am finishing an illustration degree where using ai is kinda impossible and I KNOW i would’ve given in otherwise
@vitaaeris I haven’t seen the anime, just the manga, but the reason i care ab cocos mom is bc of how much coco cares about her mom! i think this person isn’t used to losing someone as an inciting incident rather than a plot point?? like, Star Wars ep 4 you can argue does it too
