Hey @elonmusk
As X evolves into the everything app and becomes more focused on long-form content, one thing feels increasingly out of place.
It's frustrating that if your phone locks or you leave the app for a couple of minutes, your feed automatically refreshes and you lose whatever you were reading. If you're halfway through a long thread or article, it's often gone.
What if there were an optional setting:
• Auto Refresh (default) • Resume Where I Left Off (manual refresh)
Users who want the latest posts could keep the current behavior, while those reading longer content could return to exactly where they left off. A simple "### new posts — Refresh" banner would let people update the feed when they're ready.
It seems like a small change, but it would make X feel much more like a platform for reading and learning, not just scrolling.

@elonmusk if you want X to be the best go-to app for news, truth & real-time info, please fix the auto-refresh on mobile. I keep losing what I’m reading if I step away for a call or even a few minutes. It’s frustrating. Let content stay put.
