I was so moved by this moment when they were singing Young Forever and the screen was showing their backs there's something nostalgic and so magical about it I just wanna cry 🥺
Can I say something maybe controversial? I think the MGR MV is not just about their time in the military though I think it's largely about that but I also think it's what was their state in regards to their fame and all the things that came with it. That they'd constantly have to
i watched the US-Australia game today and I saw how nice the Seattle Stadium is and wished BTS should have a tour stop there! Then I saw the game at Foxborough, MA that stadium where BTS will be performing is so huge as well! I am feeling FOMO 😭
no wonder feel the same I have lived in so many places but I don't seem to belong at any, forever an outsider, I can't settle I have accepted the fact that I will be a traveler, an alien for the rest of my life
revealing that their deep-seated feeling of being 'stuck' stemmed from a much larger truth: they are aliens, forever circling a world they don't quite belong to

i always thought the carousel horse symbolism was interesting bcos it mirrors a lot of what the members have to go thru. a horse is meant to run freely, yet on a carousel it’s put on display, constantly watched, admired, and confined to the same path — very ironic bc like fame, you may be loved by millions while losing the freedom to simply exist on your own terms.
BTS are like flowers that bloomed through the cracks.
I wish I can take them and plant them somewhere beautiful.
When I see how their art enters millions of souls and hearts and heals something in them, then I turn to look at how the industry treats them...it's just unfair.
There's something I've noticed in bts mv'. Whenever bts enters a new chapter or reaches an important milestone, there's always a door involved and they're always the ones opening it themselves. Maybe it's a small detail meant to show that nobody ever opened doors for them, and that they reached every stage of their journey through their own hard work
"My bed is my coffin. Perhaps my world is huge amounts of caffeine. I go to you every day to die
Can’t I turn off my dream? I’m dancing a dance I can’t stop
I think about how I shouldn’t be thinking. Round and round, are you happy?
Please smile, until the end"
Like Animals is my anthem to live life to the fullest, Merry Go Round is my cry of agony when life's pressures are overwhelming, Into the Sun is the promise of light and hope at the end of this dark and difficult journey
this is where bangtan is different. the way they open up. their honesty, raw and intense. the way they’re not afraid, since literally day one, of putting their hearts on the table.
today, there is 2 truths here:
that this is not something to celebrate even for kpopstans b/c this is not true representation. b/c true representation means judging everyone by the exact same rules in the same main categories. true equality means letting Asian artists considered for the generals too instead of hiding them away in a side category. we all should be upset b/c this affects YOUR fav too (if you cared ab them enough more than you care ab our loss).
second, since you are here anyways; BTS paved the way for you.
