Planning to execute, every detail was brought to life by our incredible volunteers 💚
On 13th March 2026, the Animal Law Cell, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi successfully organised “Turning Policy into Practice: Advancing Animal Justice through Litigation and Innovation"
"What if justice didn't begin in courtrooms, but in our choices?"
At our event on advancing animal justice, conversations went beyond legal theory to reflect on awareness and responsibility.
Because animal justice isn't just shaped in courts-it begins with the choices we make.
“When awareness grows, responsibility follows.” 🐾
At our DU event, Prof. (Dr.) Anju Vali Tikoo stressed that choosing not to harm, when alternatives exist, is a moral & social responsibility.
Change begins with a conscious choice.
Does awareness change behaviour?

Animal Law Cell, University of Delhi, in a matter before the Supreme Court of India, supports the ABC approach over mass removal -highlighting that weak law enforcement, not community dogs, is the real issue.
🐾 What does captivity really mean for animals?
At our event “Turning Policy into Practice: Advancing Animal Justice” (13 March, DU), we screened Zoochosis exposing the hidden psychological distress animals face in captivity.
