Book of the Month, Aug '25

Decided to get this done early, as most of my free time will be required elsewhere this month.

The aptly titled Adventureman (Vol.1) takes you on a fun, hero(ine)'s journey that is also a celebration of pulp comics.

I've become quite jaded with the Big 2 comics, but even I'd recommend them to others just for this very reason.

The wonderful experience of witnessing these long-standing characters through the styles of various immensely talented artists & writers.

At last, completed the rest of the book, and I still stand by my take.

With its colorful collection of short stories (both in the styles of writing, and the regions they're from), The Hachette Book of Indian Detective Fiction (Vol.1) is an impulse buy I'm glad I indulged in.

Book of the Month - Feb 2025:

I was able to read only half of the book this month, but even in that...

"The Hachette Book of Indian Detective Fiction (Vol 1)" had its fair share of enjoyable stories.

Would recommend to anyone who likes short & simple mysteries.

We've reached the 4 episode mark of the new season of anime, and my list has dwindled to just 3 shows. (Not because the other shows aren't good, but because that's all the time & energy I have.)

But man, these three shows are so good to watch!!

What I did not expect was for Kaki, Yumiki, and Okamoto to just run with it too 😂

Soshified is just straight up one of the biggest blessings that happened to Kpop.

(Not to mention, serves as another proof that -- fans wanting to connect with other fans, plays an insanely important role in the rise of various media & art forms.

It's insane how many of the anime I had to drop/skip this season would've been "must-watch" in any other.

Seriously, no season should be this stacked.

I honestly feel bad for the good ones (especially the slice of life & comedies) that'll get lost in the shuffle.
