Binomial Nomenclature (idk what 2 name myself bro)
@animanication
ASEAN, π³οΈββ§οΈ he/him, 18, survived my finals, Genshin, HSR, ZZZ, CRK, unfortunate gacha slave, uhh oiiai?? Prb leaving twt soon because twt is always a bad idea
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi The Phainon we meet is a fresh face, his optimism and resolve that hadn't broken yet is what was truly needed to break the cycle, his determination to save without hurting his friends and not being set back by the idea of being unable to change fate, esp now that TB could help.
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi I don't think he was ever praised as a hero??? He was more of a sad dude that had to do it to progress. You've seen him as Flame Reaver, he doesn't think clearly anymore. He just kills to achieve his goal and IS the villain. It's just that new Phainon decided to break the cycle.
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi Amphoreus was mad confusing def, but I can't see how this really correlates to Phainon and your debilitating dislike of him. But anyways don't mind me, I'm not very interested in talking with you anymore cus I've found something else to do. Have a nice day and have a cat photo
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi I guess since it's all considered to be like data? All of those "memories" and occurrences of destruction were supposed to be recorded in order to create Irontomb. Since Irontomb was defeated, the memories went back to their original owners.
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi It was addressed tho? The story showed the reason why. He did the same thing again and again while trying hard to change, only for nothing to go right, lost his way and had to pass on the duty to the next Phainon. Agy however didn't have an extra Agy to pass her memories on to.
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi Initially, he wanted to just talk things through but no one believed him. Then he got tired of explaining again when nothing worked. Ig his idea was that if he can do it again and again until they finally reach a cycle where he doesn't have to do it anymore, he will keep going
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi Which is what he never wanted to do initially. After going through the cycles he just gets numb and realizes that they will just come back and becomes the villain of his own story. They won't be the exact same. While he knows he can do it all again, he doesn't know for how long
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi Ok sure :) I never thought it was pointless because Phainon "not existing" in this cycle was probably to just lessen his load. He can just focus on stopping Irontomb while TB stops things on the surface
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi For your first sentence, that's it exactly! He doesn't experience the memories from the old Phainon, but he can recall them. The other Phainons probably tried talking too, but the memories made them think it was useless and fell back into their old ways after doing it repeatedly
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi I guess because at that time Phainon was already uncaring after going on for so long? And wdym Cyrene barely had presence? There was quite a long story section about her backstory and what she did while Phainon (ig Khaslana in this case) was fighting Irontomb.
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi Anyways like I have said before, you can have your own opinion and it's fine. Let's just leave it at that broski. I don't get how it's just That Serious for you to the point that you're assuming others are insecure for disagreeing, but I just enjoy the story for what it is.
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi That's why even after a new Phainon gains the memories, he can still carry on. The mental toll and the degradation of his humanity is something that happens after he experiences it for himself, the memories only play a small part in it.
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi But they DO die, the cycle just restarts. The 33mil isn't just about Phainon, though. After we see Phainon's story, we see Cyrene's side of the story and we see how she works behind the scenes. It's not all about Phainon
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi ?? No one but Phainon and Cyrene have 33mil cycles of memories π Phainon wasn't able to handle it, he lost his humanity, got tired and passed it onto the next Phainon, so on and so forth. The other characters only know about things through getting told instead of experiencing it
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi Whatever you say that helps you sleep at night dear β€οΈ I've already given my opinion on why I liked it and I've seen why you dislike it, both are fine. My only issue is your weird passionate aggression but okπ
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi I personally enjoyed Phainon's story because of his resolve to endure suffering so the cosmos wouldn't be destroyed, and that at the end he had his version of a happy-enough ending. It was satisfactory enough for me, personally
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi But again, this is more of a hoyoverse thing if anything. They're notorious for very strange plot armour happy endings but hey at least idh to cry so much LMAO
@ReinFailess@HotKingP@BuildXueyi "Suffering porn" is a rlly funny term to use sorry that made me laugh a little π But it is tragic tho? I agree it fell off a little, but I don't see how this is enough to make you so aggessive. Trying to talk constructive doesn't warrant your previous behaviour π
