🚫Goa’s ground-level Electoral Registration Officers decided that 97 voters should be restored to the rolls.

🚫But the software controlled by the Election Commission of India’s IT division in Delhi did not give them access to reverse the earlier deletions.

🚫The Goa Chief Electoral Officer wrote to Delhi eight times in seven days, asking for that access to be enabled.

🚫Goa’s Deputy Election Commissioner separately wrote to Director General (IT) Seema Khanna, pointing out that the system was blocking Electoral Registration Officers from taking corrective action themselves.

🚫No response came. No correction was made. The 97 voters remain off the rolls.

Strip away the bureaucratic language, and what is left is this: one official in Delhi — certain Ms. Seema Khanna — effectively determines whether these voters can be restored to the electoral rolls by exercising control over the software permissions.

The entire architecture of electoral registration was designed to prevent precisely this. Authority over additions and deletions was entrusted to Electoral Registration Officers on the ground precisely so that no single office could sit atop the rolls and unilaterally determine who counts.

That decentralisation was not an administrative convenience. It was the constitutional safeguard.

Today, that safeguard stands effectively annihilated by centralised technological control.

Please don’t reduce the Express report to a “compromised ECI" only .
Put the gaze on the Supreme Court too.
It allowed an executive-heavy appointment process, then upheld SIR as a “constitutional duty,” and left the Commission free to decide in the dark.
CEC drafted the licence. The Court issued it. The Court owns this mess too.

Gyanesh Kumar is the enemy of India.

More than 12 crore names have reportedly been deleted from electoral rolls.

That is roughly 12.4% of the 97 crore registered electorate around the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

The gap between the BJP-led NDA and the opposition was just 2%.

Gyanesh Kumar isn’t conducting elections, he is scripting them.

ये एक बेहद गंभीर समाचार है कि पिछले 10 महीनों में 2 चुनाव आयुक्तों ने निर्वाचन आयोग के गलत निर्णयों पर 14 बार अपनी आपत्ति दर्ज़ कराई है।

इसका सीधा मतलब ये है कि सभी चुनाव आयुक्त अपना सही काम नहीं कर पा रहे हैं। एक स्वतंत्र निकाय के सदस्यों को अगर न्यायपूर्ण कार्य करने की स्वतंत्रता नहीं है या उनकी कोई सुनवाई नहीं है तो ये लोकतंत्र के लिए बेहद घातक और ख़तरनाक हालात हैं। कुछ लोगों द्वारा सत्ता की कठपुतली बनकर लोकतंत्र को धोखा देना घोर सांविधानिक अपराध है। ये लोकतंत्र को मिटाने के किसी षड्यंत्र से कम नहीं है।
