@Yuchenj_UW The 40% per task matters more than the benchmarks if you run agents all day. I have a small fleet on crons, and cost, not capability, decided which jobs got the big model. That line just moved.

Testing actions, not answers, is the right cut. The failure I see most with agents in production isn’t the wrong tool, it’s the agent saying “done” when the action never landed. Mine now have to read the result back (the saved record, the sent message) before they’re allowed to report success.

@aresotik Persistent sessions is the right thing to care about. I run mine the other way round: agents live on my own Mac and a small server, and I pick them up from Telegram or WhatsApp on my phone. Same “close the laptop” feeling, and my files stay on my machines.

Love this. I run a self-hosted assistant like this for my own company (Telegram, WhatsApp, voice on the Mac). The hard part wasn’t computer use, it was teaching it when to stay quiet, and making it point at a real source before telling me anything. One of mine once reported an incident that never happened.

@0xwhrrari Can confirm with real numbers. I put Jev in front of my wiki search as a re-ranker: top-1 went from 33% to 50%, at about $0.0005 and 550 ms per query. Small sample (12 queries), but "a chatbot used as a switch statement" is exactly what I was doing before.
