Lol, do y’all know that the average lay person uses AI as a:
•Astrologer / palm reader → and give away their PII (name, dob, tob, pob) , palm lines, iris scans, biometrics
•Photoshop / appearance coach→ give away their images and selfies asking “am I ugly?”, editing pics before posting
•Finance bro→ give their whole exact salary, debts, full bank statements. Now thanks to Musk, they will upload their credit cards to Grok! 😢
•Doctor→ and give away PHI filled full medical reports, symptoms they’re scared to google
•Therapist→ do 2am therapy sessions, fights with parents, mistakes they still regret, insecurities they’d never tell a human
•Relationship detective / coach→ show screenshots of their partner’s chats, “is my partner cheating?”, breakup texts before sending
•Work assistant / intern → company’s confidential files, passwords, API keys

People are casually dumping their entire private life into these chats with zero idea of how much is getting logged, stored, or potentially exposed. Yell posting alone isn’t going to fix it!

Have you heard of @Rovo? It’s a slop filler by @Atlassian and it’s made it worse, it’s more AI slop than ever and it’s awful. We still have to follow JIRA hygiene and all the corporate metrics, it sucks when my non tech scrum master has Rovo fill out the details and AC on a story and it’s pure slop. 🥲

I’m a NRI, my name was removed from the voter roll, which is fair because I couldn’t make it back in time to vote in the last election. They had us get proofs, a life certificate from a local notary and an affidavit and once we did all that, my vote was reinstated and they said we will receive an ID.
@ECISVEEP - I think you might have to get through making a few more good rules that stick.

Isn’t this a violation? You vote where you reside, no? Isn’t that a thing in India yet? If you have a Driver’s license or Aadhar card with a Mumbai address, you get to vote in Mumbai (Mumbai is an example, don’t come at me if you don’t get that).

I recently met a kid at a temple who was there for a chess class who probably was 13 years old, he saw me twiddling around on Devin and goes to ask me what I was building, kid knew everything he needed to know to build a webapp and has one running for their middle school football and baseball league.
He was asking me for tips and I felt like I was talking to a CS Sophomore or Senior.

His parents (Non tech folks) were in disbelief when I told them their kid is a genius. The mom goes “He always on his computer or out playing baseball or upto some shenanigans with the neighbors kids” and I’m like ma’am that’s as American as it gets, he’s a nerd and an athlete, he could be a Tom Cruise if he keeps up.

The kid also seemed righteous (in a good way) and didn’t appear to be one of those know it all smart assholes either.

Yes, today’s kids are built different. I was building HTML pages in high school and writing some basic SQL, now we have kids that build whole apps. Good golly.
