#SwallowingtheSuninMassachusetts!
It was an honour to be welcomed at the historic #Massachusetts State House by Rep. Kay Khan, Rep. Hannah Kane, and Sen. Joan Lovely, Co-Chairs of the MA Women Legislators Caucus.
The iconic building, a symbol of history and progress, provided a fitting backdrop to celebrate women’s voices and global connections.
Deeply grateful to Rep. Kay Khan who on behalf of Massachusetts House of Representatives presented me with a citation in recognition of my novel 'Swallowing the Sun' and my decades in global advocacy for women's rights, international peacekeeping, and economic cooperation.
Special thanks to Rep. Sarah Peake, Former State Representative from Provincetown and now, Special Assistant to Governor Maura Healey, for hosting us at the Governor’s Office, and to legislative aides Meghan Cerino and Seble Alemu, Executive Director of the MA Caucus of Women Legislators, for their efforts in organising this meaningful event.
The initiative to invite me to Massachusetts was spearheaded by Priya Samant, a tech entrepreneur and strategic advisor on US-India relations. Her vision and dedication brought this memorable celebration to life.
Truly inspired by Massachusetts' commitment to equity and empowerment.

@tylerdurdenand1 Thank you. I couldn't (can't hope to) do justice to the vision of its makers, tbh. Have viewed the film a few times so far, and the layers keep coming
@sudhirsrinivasn Thank you for this gem. You were exceptional at prodding for reasons behind an answer without being pushy. The philosophical bits were deft; special respect for your research/prep/knowledge (e.g: the Bertrand Russel reference), elevated the whole thing.
