Anyone using official data when writing about non-democracy countries should read this balanced take from @ruthcarlitz@RachaelMcLellan https://t.co/3zZYg0yDQL
@kuintzle We shouldn't wait for perfect situations to start families because they will never come. I had my first baby as a Master student, the second during my PhD. I literally wrote the final version of the thesis with the little boy on my knees, but I was fine. Just listen to your heart
@KaiKirchner99@marceldirsus Totally agree. All this "we never had a real lockdown, hahaha" is a slap in the face of people who do not cope well with all this, including me. A friend is having suicidal thoughts, but there seems to be little recognition and solidarity for this kind of collateral damage
@noamchomskyT I furthermore think that Marx knew that philosophers had always been part of social change and the production of ideology. They have never ONLY interpreted. The new thing was perhaps the idea that philosophers directly use their knowledge for political goals of the subaltern
@noamchomskyT To me, Marx has two sides, the more interpretationist, philosophical of his very early work, and the more activist, directly political side. The quote perfectly falls between the two and connects them, i.e. transitions into the thinking/doing nexus he proposed in the manifesto.
