“it’s their country, their laws” is such a convenient argument.
would the same people say that if india, israel or the US sentenced someone to death for a religious insult? or would it suddenly become a ‘global human rights issue’?
you don’t get to defend a punishment simply because the country enforcing it happens to align with your politics or religion. apply the same standard everywhere.

2. That comment was in his language, Tamil. Sri Lankan Muslims complained it to the Saudi government.
3. He initially got 5 year prison time, then it converted to a death penalty
