I don’t think Porco ever meant that Reiner was unfit to be a Warrior the things he says “hating that island doesn’t make you special, have fun waiting 13 years alone!, why did they choose you!, if I’d inherited the armor back then my brother wouldn’t have died, there’s no denying it now I was always better than you”all feels less like contempt and more like this need to always be above Reiner he didn’t want Reiner to get it before him because he truly believed he was stronger and in Porco’s mind, the stronger one should protect the weaker one the strong one being himself and the weaker one, the one who deserves protection being Reiner
