Birthday a few weeks ago, I was asked what I wanted and got Rituals cosmetics instead. Slight disappointment, but oh well. Same type I already have a few unopened bottles of.
Did presents tonight and what do I get? Yep, another bottle of the same shower gel. Got to love family…

@Christiane I don't have any numbers, but feel it's making the rounds again in Germany, too. In my company a whole office switched to remote this week. Ironically I had the NHS invitation for the booster this week - I told them I'd moved to Germany

@BylinesEast @TOrynski of the question in London as rents have absolutely sky rocketed in the last year. And I actually had a very decent wage. I also know quite a few people who have moved either "home" or to other European countries. I don't regret my 14 years in the UK, but it was time to go.

@BylinesEast @TOrynski German here, moved back just over three months ago. Life is cheaper here and, while not perfect, health care is better. I earn less here, but have much more left over at the end of the month. And I can afford a flat on my own. Something that was completely out 1/

@Christiane @NancyFaeser @ABaerbock To my surprise it was sorted by simply emailing a picture of my German ID and passport.
Germany is very "papierlastig", I think I used more paper in my new job here in a week than I did in my old London job in three months.

@Christiane @NancyFaeser @ABaerbock I recently had to register in Germany, they were very friendly but the guy who registered me was very flustered by the fact that I had two passports. So flustered, he made me a year younger. Cue a letter that my passport and ID had the wrong DOB. 1/2
