60+ days of NEET-SS counselling paralysis and aspirants are still waiting for meaningful escalation.
@FordaIndia@FAIMA_INDIA_
The silence is deafening.

A judgment of the SC is binding under Art 141 of the Constitution.Merely filing a review petition does not suspend or nullify the judgment. The judgment continues to operate unless the Supreme Court itself grants a stay. @narendramodi@JPNadda@arunraajkg#NEETSS

This is not a one-off. That is the part nobody wants to say out loud.
NEET SS 2024 was not delayed. It was not postponed. It simply did not happen. An entire exam cycle cancelled because the years before it had fallen so far behind that there was no room left in the academic calendar. A full cohort of aspiring super-specialists lost a year without ever getting to sit the exam.
Before that, COVID broke the timeline and nobody ever really fixed it. Each delayed year pushed into the next. The cycle kept slipping and the response every single time was to wait it out and move on. No reset. No structural fix. Just the same broken process, repeated.
So when people say the 2025 crisis is because of 151 Tamil Nadu seats and a Supreme Court case, they are not wrong. But they are describing the spark, not the fire.
The fire is that no single body actually owns this process end to end. MCC runs counselling but cannot force states to comply. NMC sets the rules but does not run admissions. NBE conducts the exam and then steps back. DGHS is somewhere in the middle. When something goes wrong, everyone points sideways and students get a notice telling them to keep checking the website.
There is no protocol that says disputed seats get isolated while the rest of counselling moves forward. There is no binding calendar. There is no penalty for a state that sits on a Supreme Court order for weeks without responding. There is no one whose job it is to make sure the whole thing lands on time.
These are not the features of a system under unusual stress. This is just how it works.
The people waiting for Round 2 right now are in their early thirties. They finished MBBS. Sat NEET PG. Did three years of residency. Sat NEET SS. Cleared it. And now they are home, with no income, waiting for a government portal to update.
At some point you have to ask whether anyone who runs this system has actually thought about what it feels like to be on the receiving end of it.

I cleared NEET-SS with AIR 341.
I was working as a Senior Resident in Surgical Oncology.
Trusting that counselling would proceed, I resigned from my job before the joining deadline of 16 April.
Today, I have no seat.
No training.
No joining date.
Not because I failed an exam.
@penguin_colony4 Doctors don't go to periphery because there's no infrastructure and govt don't pay enough to compensate for it , if govt pays enough no one will hesitate to join peripheral healthcare setup
Doctors across India are questioning mandatory MBBS service bonds. Why must medical graduates from subsidized government colleges serve or pay steep penalties, while IIT graduates have no similar obligation to serve at Govt organizations like ISRO or DRDO?
@DrAnkitkrmishra So a course which already has such a long learning curve gets even longer because of the bond. So people defending that IIT should not have a bond are idiots because equal or even more tax is going to iits and gmcs then why shouldn't they serve the country as well.
@DrAnkitkrmishra I agree there should be a service bond for IIT/NIT graduates in ISRO/DRDO/NIC or other PSUs.
If someone is not ready to serve the bond then charge non subsidised fee for that student which should be on par with fee of BITS.
Govt is spending lots of money on all types of higher education but only new passout Medical Professionals are required to serve rural areas under service bonds, whereas Engineers, CAs, MBAs, LLB, IT, IIT are free birds without any obligations to motherland.
🪳 SHOCKING INCIDENT IN PRAYAGRAJ 🚨🚨🚨
🪳 A resident doctor from the Surgery Department, MLN Medical College, was allegedly dragged out of his home and arrested by police.
🪳 This reportedly happened soon after the strike was called off.
🪳 If these allegations are true, the medical community deserves answers, transparency, and due process.
🪳 Doctors who dedicate their lives to patient care should not have to live in fear.
