2/2.. enforce it. But being a rule enforcer doesn't give you any right to misbehave with anyone, let alone a child. The Principal should be tried for humiliating, intimidating and abetting the suicide of the child.

If the rulebook says “suspension,” then the correct process is simple: call the parents, explain the violation, and hand over the suspension letter. That’s it. There is absolutely no rule that says you must intimidate a pleading minor, threaten to destroy his career, or talk to him in a derogatory, dehumanising way.

A child bringing a phone is a disciplinary issue, not a criminal act. The Principal’s job is corrective guidance, not psychological intimidation, even if you are planning to suspend him. No school policy anywhere mandates humiliating a minor.

And comparing a child’s mistake to “someone committing a crime and then suicide” is intellectually lazy. A minor breaking a school rule is not equivalent to an adult criminal. Institutions exist to protect children, not to break them.

A 13-year-old boy, a national-level skater with six medals, made a childish mistake.

He brought a phone to school, recorded a class video, and uploaded it. A minor lapse, not a crime. But the Principal behaved as if she were some colonial-era viceroy dispensing punishments, not an educator handling a teenager.

Instead of guiding him, she threatened to “end his career,” “take away his medals,” and suspend him, punishments entirely disproportionate to the mistake.

The boy apologised 52 times in four minutes, but the Principal, consumed by her own sense of authority, didn’t show a shred of empathy. No patience, no corrective instinct, no understanding, just the arrogant, self-important behaviour that too many Indians slip into the moment they get a chair and a nameplate.

Humiliated and terrified, the child jumped from the third floor. He survived, but he has fractures in both legs, spinal injuries, and more. His future in skating is uncertain now.

But in reality, this man wasn't even present in office on the said date in past

Entire office stood behind this man. Even females deposed in his favour and told authorities of the quarrelsome nature of the woman

He was finally given a clean chit from the sexual harrassment allegations in 2017

He moved court seeking 30 lacs in damages 8 years ago for this false case. The woman - absolutely entitled didn't even file a reply & rarely came to court

In 2025, this man has been granted 10 LACS IN DAMAGES

We have 9 papers in #UPSC Mains.

What we do - will be referred as 1.
What is the right thing to do - as 2.

QUALIFYING PAPERS: English & Regional Language
1 - We wait till the last month and then start studying these papers, nearly 10% fail in Mains due to regional language.
2 - Invest 30 minutes per day from the next day of Prelims result and you will be confident well before Mains. Infact, one can practice mock tests before Mains with this approach.

ESSAY
1 - We hardly do writing practice. Philosophical essays are coming for the past few years now but aspirants still blame #UPSC that paper is difficult.
2 - If you can't change how paper is designed, then change your approach. Smart aspirants start working on it and practice 1-2 essays per week. One can write 15 essays even if you write 1 essay per week. Pick topics of your discomfort, not comfort.

GENERAL STUDIES I, II, III
1 - We invest majority of the time in studying the content, especially static portion. We wait till the last month for writing practice as we are not able to finish syllabus.
2 - Static portion common in Prelims and Mains should not be revised if time is less. Only Mains specific topic like World History should be studied. Static portion can be revised from current affairs booklet as they also cover static portion. Minimum 2 full length mock tests of each paper should be practiced.

GENERAL STUDIES IV - ETHICS
1 - We study only syllabus. No writing practice of subjective questions and case studies. Time given is least compared to other GS papers.
2 - If planned with schedule, GS IV is the most rewarding. Make small notes of Ethics content. Revise again & again to form Ethics Vocab. Use that vocab while writing to show you have knowledge of Ethics. Concepts to be written in simple language and minimum words. Special practice for case studies. Minimum 4 Ethics mock tests to be practiced before exam. More time would result in more marks.

OPTIONAL SUBJECT - 2 PAPERS
1 - We study only syllabus. Wait till last moment to get confidence. In the end, zero writing practice.
2 - Immediately after Prelims result, finish optional syllabus in mission mode. Then just do revision and writing practice. Multiple revisions must - as we have to be JACK OF ALL TRADES AND MASTER OF ONE i.e. OPTIONAL. Minimum 2 mock tests of each paper to be practiced before exam.

WRITING PRACTICE
1 - We ignore as if it's not part of the syllabus, only content is.
2 - Just like content is important, writing practice is more important. Whatever we study is manifested in the form of answers we write, and quality of our answers depends on content and writing skills. Good presentation, addressing demand of the Q, using flow charts and diagrams - all add value to our answers. And for most of us, it does not come naturally, so practice is required.

Mains exam is not merely a mental game. It requires physical effort also as you have to write for 6 hours daily during Mains. There will be times when cognitive faculties would start giving up as we are tired. This is where your answer writing skills come in as savior. As we have practiced well before, mistakes made would be minimum.

In a shocking incident frm Motihari , Bihar villagers gave talibani punishment to a woman and her paramour after she gt caught red handed with her lover by her husband.
1. The couple gt beaten up and then was asked to beat each other .
2. After that they gt tied to an electric pole and their heads gt shaved.
3. While the woman was being beaten her children were crying .
4. We condemn such acts but when the laws are not in accordance with the social customs and practices then such things are bound to happen.
5. On one hand #SupremeCourt has decriminalised adultery and on the other hand our society gives such extreme punishment for adultery.
6. Our social structure is still not ready to accept western ways of life . Either we shall amend our laws or take steps to change the mindset of our society .
