My commitments span every pillar of governance, strengthening support for women, youth, farmers, landless agricultural labourers, and the elderly; advancing education and healthcare; ensuring housing and piped drinking water for every household; strengthening administration; and transforming Bengal into the Gateway of trade for Eastern India.

Through these pledges, I reiterate my resolve to sustain the momentum of progress with renewed vigour in the fourth term of my Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar, and to further strengthen Bengal’s position as one of the leading states of the nation.

I am deeply disturbed and shocked by the mismanagement witnessed today at Salt Lake Stadium. I was on my way to the stadium to attend the event along with thousands of sports lovers and fans who had gathered to catch a glimpse of their favourite footballer, Lionel Messi.

I sincerely apologise to Lionel Messi, as well as to all sports lovers and his fans, for the unfortunate incident.

I am constituting an enquiry committee under the chairmanship of Justice (Retd.) Ashim Kumar Ray, with the Chief Secretary and the Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Hill Affairs Department, as members. The committee will conduct a detailed enquiry into the incident, fix responsibility, and recommend measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.

Once again, I extend my heartfelt apologies to all sports lovers.

Every corner of the camp reflected purposeful service.

The numbers reflect the breadth of the effort:
🔬 2,635 tests carried out to detect issues early
💊 2,538 individuals received essential medicines without any charge
🏥 4,474 residents were given detailed consultations and clear follow-up paths
🏥 28 people were referred to specialised care where needed

Sebaashray 2 showed once again that true service is not measured only by medical outcomes. It is measured by dignity restored, burdens eased, and the simple assurance that someone is standing beside you when you need it most.

Every person who walked in received comprehensive support, free health camps welcomed all, essential medicines were distributed without charge. On-site diagnostic testing ensured immediate detection of health issues, while advanced referral services connected patients with specialised care seamlessly.

The registration process was simplified for each individual, and real-time digital monitoring maintained complete transparency, making access effortless and efficient. Families left with not just treatment, but clarity, confidence, and renewed trust in the system.

Sebaashray 2 continues to demonstrate that healthcare is not just about medicine, it is about restoring dignity, building trust, and showing that service delivered with compassion can transform lives.

Even on its very first day, Metiaburuz revealed a remarkable spirit of participation. What stood out was not merely the scale but the preparedness of Metiaburuz to embrace this mission. People did not arrive in hesitation or doubt; they came with expectation, with trust, and with the quiet assurance that Sebaashray fulfilled what it pledged, a structure of care that was organised, compassionate, and immediate.

As Sebaashray 2 inaugurated its chapter in Metiaburuz, it carried with it the discipline of the past week and began composing a renewed spirit of public health, one anchored in efficiency, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to every citizen’s well-being.
