A husband tells the court that his wife beats him. In a viral clip from Gwalior Bench proceedings, the judge is heard saying:

“Husband who gets beaten up by his wife is a lucky man. That beating is a blessing. She's a goddess. Why are you complaining that wife is beating you”

Now reverse the gender.

If a wife said her husband beats her, and anyone called it a “blessing”, the whole country would scream abuse, cruelty and patriarchy.

But when a husband is the victim, his pain becomes comedy, his dignity becomes irrelevant, and violence against him is treated like some divine gift.

This is not justice. This is the mindset that tells men to suffer, adjust and shut up.

Abuse is abuse. A beaten husband is not lucky. He is a victim.
