India badly needs a Lemon Law.

In the US, if a new car needs 3–4 repairs for the same issue or spends 30 days in the workshop, it can qualify as a “lemon.”

If the issue is life threatening like brake failure; it’s instantly declared a lemon.

The manufacturer may have to replace the car or refund your money. They are also liable to refund the legal fees.

In India?

Your car can visit the workshop 5, 10 or 15 times for the same defect, and you may still have to fight it out in consumer court and prove the defect. 🤡
