जब निहत्थे रामभक्त अपने आराध्य भगवान श्रीराम के दर्शन और पूजा के अधिकार की मांग कर रहे थे, तब आपकी ही पार्टी की सरकार ने उन पर गोलियां चलवाईं। कारसेवकों की मौत पर संवेदना तक नहीं दिखाई गई। उस समय न संविधान की दुहाई सुनाई दी, न मानवाधिकारों की चिंता।

आज संसद की सुरक्षा में सेंध लगाने, सुरक्षाबलों पर हमला करने और हिंसक उपद्रव करने वालों के प्रति आपकी हमदर्दी इसलिए दिखाई दे रही है क्योंकि आपको उसमें अपना राजनीतिक लाभ नजर आता है।

लोकतंत्र में शांतिपूर्ण विरोध हर नागरिक का अधिकार है, लेकिन हिंसा, तोड़फोड़ और सुरक्षाबलों पर हमला किसी भी कीमत पर स्वीकार नहीं किया जा सकता। कानून सबके लिए समान होना चाहिए, चाहे अपराधी किसी भी विचारधारा या दल से जुड़ा हो।

सिद्धांतों से नहीं, अवसर देखकर बदलने वाली राजनीति आखिरकार अपना असली चेहरा स्वयं उजागर कर देती है।

ये लोग कल तक सोनम वांगचुक की भूख हड़ताल पर अपनी राजनीतिक रोटियां सेंक रहे थे, वो आज कह रहे हैं कि सोनम वांगचुक ने डील कर ली। सोनम बेवफा है। और सोनम वांगचुक को अपना बचाव करने के लिए वीडियो बनानी पड़ी।
