A New Chapter in NMDC's Diamond Journey

NMDC's Diamond Mining Project (DMP), India's only organized and mechanized diamond mine has unearthed a 13.16-carat Gem Quality natural rough diamond, the biggest GEM category diamond discovered since the resumption of operations in March 2024, surpassing the previous highest of 10.04 carats.

Recovered through the routine processing of kimberlite ore, this remarkable discovery is a testament to the dedication, precision and operational excellence of the DMP Panna team. It reinforces NMDC's commitment to responsible mining, technological excellence and unlocking India's natural wealth with sustainability at its core.

In a significant milestone for healthcare in the Bastar division, NMDC Continental Super Speciality Hospital #Chhattisgarh has successfully completed its first #100days of operations, made possible through NMDC's annual financial assistance of ₹25 crore.

To mark the occasion, Bastar's First Cath Lab was inaugurated by Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Hon'ble Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Government of Chhattisgarh. With this advanced cardiac care facility now operational, patients in the region can access complex heart treatments and life-saving procedures in Jagdalpur, reducing the need to travel to distant metropolitan cities.

The ceremony was graced by Shri Kedar Kashyap, Hon'ble Minister for Forest & Climate Change, Government of Chhattisgarh; Shri Mahesh Kashyap, Hon'ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha); Dr. Guru Nath Reddy, Chairman, Continental Hospitals along with several other distinguished dignitaries.
