@Mountcharles2@PJOConroy Stephen McGowan wrote the below at the time. Other journalists I trust, including Kieran Devlin, have reported it since as well.
@MTVilla1983 There will always be doubters but I'd argue Iraola's 2023 CV was better than Keane's now. Anyone who watched Spanish football knew he was the real deal and that his achievements were impressive.
@PJOConroy It was available. There were other candidates as well, including Enzo Maresca who some board members pushed for.
I hope fans wouldn't have lost their minds over hiring a manager who'd been getting rave reviews in LaLiga. What he did with Rayo is more impressive than Keane's CV.
@Mountcharles2@PJOConroy Bizarre comment. Are you suggesting managers don't apply for jobs? It is public knowledge that Iraola put his hat in the ring for the Celtic job in 2023.
@Maxwell_Edison7 He applied for the job. It was pretty clear from his time at Rayo that he was a good manager. I'm not saying Rodgers was necessarily the wrong choice at the time, but my concern is that there are seemingly no candidates now that are of the level of 2023 Iraola.
@PJOConroy He applied for the job. Rodgers wasn't a bad choice at the time. My main concern is: where are the Iraola-level candidates this time around?
@Hunbelievables This is pretty common knowledge. He applied for the job. The club went with Rodgers, which wasn't a bad choice at the time. My main concern is: where are the Iraola-level candidates this time around?
@JinkyCostanza@gazzam67 Exactly. Going for Rodgers wasn't a bad choice at the time. But it is pretty common knowledge that Iraola applied for the job and he could have been a very interesting option. My main concern is that there seem to be no linked candidates of his ilk this time around.
Two years later... @CDCastellon are in the playoffs for promotion to #LaLigaEASports!
The first leg of the semi-final vs Almería is tomorrow at 9pm local time. #PPO

The Celtic board has wasted little time in sowing division. From initiating bans to considering a hugely divisive figure as manager.
Until there is meaningful change in personnel and culture within the Celtic hierarchy then there will be no sustained unity across the club.
Still weird seeing Fletcher there.
The jerseys mostly follow recent tradition with players usually using the same number every time the national team. Angus Gunn getting the no.1 jersey should confirm his starting spot, though...

Scotland play Israel this week. Today Israeli authorities have abducted two members of the Palestine women's national team.
When will it be enough for the Scottish FA/UEFA/FIFA to take a stand?

Nearly through the back log, next up the understated Celtic 2012/13 Third / 125th Anniversary shirt. All about that celtic cross crest. Another bargain picked up from 1892FootballShirts on Insta.
No, you absolutely could not argue that. Lots of kids train with the first team at top clubs - many of them won't make it at that level.
Training levels matter, but there's no substitute for match fitness and game experience.
💬 "Training with Man United's first team every day, you could argue is more intense than playing in any certain division week in, week out."
Man Utd Academy director Stephen Torpey tells us why Tyler Fletcher is more than ready for Scotland chance. 🏴

"The ethics of choosing to return to a country that much of the world was accusing of genocide even then makes Keane a PR disaster, even if you ignore his inadequate CV."
