Cars24 has 6,803 employees in India but only 951 are women. That's 14%.
At Director level (B6): zero women. Not low. Zero.
I've been sitting with this number for a few days.
We do hire women. Entry-level representation is meaningfully better. But somewhere between mid-management and senior leadership, we lose them. That's not a pipeline problem. That's a system problem.
Culture is not what you say on your careers page. Culture is who grows here. Culture is who gets promoted. Culture is who stays.
If there are no women at Director level, I have to ask myself an uncomfortable question: what have we built — unintentionally or otherwise — that makes it hard for women to lead at scale?
I don't have a clean answer. And I'm not interested in easy ones.
So ahead of Women's Day, I'm doing something simple: listening.
If you're a senior woman leader — in tech, ops, product, business, or any field-heavy environment — I'd genuinely value your perspective on three things:
→ What would need to be true for you to seriously consider a company like ours?
→ What makes a leadership culture feel enabling rather than exhausting?
→ What structural changes actually move the needle — not just on hiring, but on retention and promotion?
No polished answers needed. Honest ones only.
Over the next few weeks, I'll be hosting small roundtables, virtual and in-person with women leaders across industries. The goal isn't to check a box. It's to listen, learn, and redesign parts of our system that clearly aren't working.
DM me/comment here if you'd like to participate. Or if you'd rather share privately, that works too.
We cannot build a category-defining company if leadership looks like a narrow slice of society. Talented women shouldn't just join Cars24 , they should rise here.
This one is on me.
Today, we are introducing India’s first Lifetime Warranty on cars: up to 12 years or 1,50,000 km on the engine, transmission and drivetrain.
No brand in the country offers this today. The real test of a car isn’t how it performs in the first year; it’s how it behaves years later, when the core systems are under real stress.
If we believe in the durability of the cars we stand behind, that belief should extend to their meaningful life. Long-term products deserve long-term accountability.

Today, CARS24 becomes Cars24. We have changed the logo, softened the tone and introduced an open circle that reflects how the company has grown. What started as a loud, urgent brand built to break into a tough market has matured into something people come back to over time. The new identity is calmer, more human, and built for continuity rather than attention.
This wasn’t a quick decision. The team has been pushing for it for years and honestly, I held on longer than I should have, partly because the old logo worked and partly because letting go of early wins is harder than it sounds. But at some point, you realise that growth, in the end, is evolution.
We will probably evolve again in the future and that is fine. For now, this feels right. And yes, it looks much better.
I have emailed this letter to the Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi sir. Sharing it here and tagging @PMOIndia so it reaches him without fail. Delhi-NCR cannot keep breathing like this. We need unified, urgent action now.

A question "India's smartest podcast" host asks a guest who goes on to name one senior journalist and two very senior historians. He's building an online mob as his guest list and content illustrates.
And you ask that we ignore this guy and his team's propaganda shenanigans?
1) Ghulam Nabi Azad made some funny allegations against Rahul Gandhi and Congress leadership just to sell his book.
He was interviewed by everyone like BnD, Tihadi , Anjana Modi , Navika kachra etc.
2) Satyapal Malik, former governor of J&K made serious allegations against Modi, Rajnath Singh, Ajit Doval. He particularly said that Pulwama happened because home ministry didn’t provide choppers to ferry the troops. And Modi & Doval asked him to stay silent.
But no media channel and BnD anchors are asking any questions and having no debate.
@airtelindia@Airtel_Presence Why am I paying you guys? Such pathetic speeds and you call yourself 5g plus.
Raised the concern over app as well, it was of no use tbh
This wont change ur thoughts. It’s too late for that. We witness the most brilliant method of control and dominance. The man outsmarted the empire. It no more dvd & rule. It’s just to rule and you know the rest.
Sorry, Haven’t been elected to represent world’s largest democracy to accept censorship.
