The cemetery & crematorium were the only original parts of Flossenbürg recognised as the camp memorial after the war. It took 50 years for the camp to be included. ⁦@TheIHRA⁩ charter for Holocaust heritage emphasises the importance of safeguarding all such historic traces.

90 years ago #OnThisDay, the first SS-managed concentration camp was established outside Dachau, one of the first steps in the Nazi's rise to power.

We need to #ProtectTheFacts against distortion and denial of this terrible truth.
