I have received so many requests for this, so here you go: from beginner to advanced in 10 months (bookmark this)

Level 1: Beginner(Month 1 to 3)

1. JavaScript fundamentals
Start with the basics of JavaScript, covering variables, data types, operators, control structures, functions, and arrays.

2. Node.js
Get familiar with Node.js, a server-side runtime environment for JavaScript. Understand how to run JavaScript outside of the browser and perform server-side operations.

3. Express.js
Learn Express.js, a popular Node.js framework for building web applications and APIs. Work on simple projects to create routes, handle HTTP requests, and manage middleware.

4. RESTful APIs
Study the principles of RESTful APIs and practice building them using Express.js. Create basic endpoints for CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations.

5. Database Basics
Get introduced to databases, focusing on SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB). Learn how to connect and perform basic operations with Node.js+ Express

Final Project: Build a simple API using Node.js, Express.js, and your chosen database. It could be a basic to-do list or a blog API.

Level 2: Intermediate (Month 4 to Month 5)

1. Advanced Express.js
Learn about middleware, authentication, error handling, and security best practices. Implement features like file uploads, JWT-based authentication, etc.

2. Database Interaction
Dive deeper into databases, learning about advanced querying, indexing, and database optimization techniques.

3. Testing
Learn about unit testing and integration testing for your backend applications. Explore testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Chai.

Final Project: Enhance your previous project by adding features like user authentication, database relations, and test cases.

Level 3: Advanced (Month 6 to Month 9)

1. Advanced Authentication and Authorization
Dive deep into authentication mechanisms like OAuth, social login, and two-factor authentication. Implement role-based access control (RBAC) for authorization.

2. GraphQL
Explore GraphQL, a query language for APIs. Understand how it differs from RESTful APIs and build GraphQL APIs using libraries like Apollo Server.

3. WebSockets
Learn about real-time communication using WebSockets. Implement features like chat applications or live notifications.

4. Microservices
Study the concept of microservices architecture and how to build scalable applications using this approach.

5. Security
Deepen your understanding of backend security, including handling sensitive data, and preventing common attacks like SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, etc.

6. Performance Optimization
Learn techniques to optimize the performance of your backend applications, such as caching, load balancing, and profiling.

Final Project: Work on a complex project that incorporates multiple technologies and architectural patterns. This could be a multi-service application or a large-scale API with advanced features.

Completion time can vary from over 9 months to under 6 months. With a strong JavaScript background, it's possible to finish in 5 months. Happy learning!
